- Residency and Education: The mother/guardian must be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh.Children should be pursuing studies in Class 1 to 12 in recognized government, private-aided/private-unaided schools, junior colleges, or residential schools/junior colleges within the state.
- Financial Background: The mother/guardian must belong to a Below Poverty Line (BPL) family.Families should possess a white ration card designated for BPL households.Monthly family income must be below ₹10,000 in rural areas and ₹12,000 in urban areas under the BPL categories.
- Identification Requirements:Mother, guardian, or the beneficiary should have either a valid Aadhaar Card or a valid Voter ID.
- Occupation and Vehicle Ownership: No family member of the applicant should be a government employee or pensioner. Applicants from sanitary worker families are exempted.The family should not own a four-wheeler. Taxis, tractors, and autos are excluded from the four-wheeler category.
- Utility Consumption and Property Size: Monthly electricity consumption in the family dwelling unit (owned or rented) should be below 300 units on average. Land under municipal jurisdiction should be less than 1,000 square feet. Income Tax and Attendance Requirements: No family member of the applicant should be an income tax payer. The child’s attendance should be at least 75%. Additionally, children falling under specific categories are eligible under the Jagananna Amma Vodi Scheme, including those of single mothers, unmarried mothers, widows, divorced mothers, destitute mothers, victims of domestic violence, mothers suffering from chronic diseases, and illiterate mothers.
Note: Students who drop out or quit school mid-year are not eligible for scheme benefits. Furthermore, Class 10 students pursuing IIT/Polytechnic/IIIT and other courses are eligible under Jagananna Vidya Deevena and Jagananna Vasathi Deevena schemes but not under the Jagananna Amma Vodi Scheme
